Single payment supplement for all full-time employees to be issued on April 15, 2022

(Hinesville, GA) – On March 16, 2022, Governor Kemp signed the Appropriation Bill amending the state budget for fiscal year 2022 to include a one-time additional payment of $2,000.00 for certain categorical positions. These funds will be received by the district on April 26, 2022. The Liberty County Board of Education unanimously approved Superintendent Dr. Franklin Perry’s recommendation to provide payment supplements of $2,000 to all certified and classified personnel as well. only to long-term replacements employed in the School System. The board approved to forward funding for the supplement to be issued on April 15, 2022. Employees will receive payment before spring break. “We appreciate Governor Kemp’s work in providing funding to cover the $2,000 payments for many of our employees. However, we felt it was fair to extend the supplement to all full-time employees in the system. The extraordinary work done by Liberty County School System staff in supporting excellence in everything for our students is inspiring and appreciated.
