Officials said not to waste public money creating unnecessary infrastructure

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Principal Secretary of the Department of Education, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, instructed relevant officials to spend the funds in accordance with the requirements of the Mana Ooru-Mana Badi scheme. He and Department Director Sri Devasena and Panchayat Department Commissioner Raj Sharath visited the district and then convened a review meeting here on Friday.

Sandeep Kumar asked the education department authorities to ensure the comfort of students by creating sufficient infrastructure and basic amenities in a school. He asked officials of Panchayat Raj department to prepare proposals to address key challenges. He advised them not to waste public money by creating unnecessary infrastructure.

Devasena observed that proposals have been prepared to improve the infrastructure of 14 schools, with an estimated cost higher than normal. She told them to take into account the major shortcomings of an institution. She pointed out that infrastructure proposals of some schools in Koutala, Sirpur (T) and Mandals Wankidi have been made requiring higher funds. She told the collector and relevant officials to monitor the implementation of the program.

The director of Panchayat Raj instructed department officials to take measures to keep premises clean in rural areas and to provide internal roads. She told them to visit Palle Prakruti Vanams every day and feed the saplings. She highlighted the need to register 100% attendance of staff members and adopt effective waste management practices.

Collector Rahul Raj, additional collector Varun Reddy, Rajesham and many other officials were present.

Sandeep Kumar, Sri Devasena and Sharath then inspected the works undertaken under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi program at Bheemsari village in the rural mandal of Adilabad. He told district authorities to take steps to strictly implement the ambitious program and ensure better facilities in public schools.

Collector Sikta Patnaik, Additional Collector Rizwan Shaik, DEO Pranita attended the event.
